HB 478, PN 2699 (Fontana) – This legislation provides for outpatient psychiatric oversight and shall be known as the Outpatient Psychiatric Oversight Act. Senator Corman offered Amendment A06936 which adds a definition of “interactive audio and video” to the bill and changes existing content of the bill so it is consistent with the new definition. SB 1056, PN 1657 (Brooks) – This bill amends the Tax Reform Code to allow for the entire cost of capital investments to be immediately deducted from a corporation’s taxable income. A vote of 42-7 was recorded.

SB 1071, PN 1555 (Greenleaf) – Amends Titles 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) and 61 (Prisons and Parole) reflecting suggestions from the Justice Reinvestment Working Group. Senator Langerholc offered Amendment A06927 which amends the section on short sentence parole by adding offenses that are not applicable to the section. This amendment passed by a unanimous vote.

HB 1926, PN 2793 (Stephens) – Designates a section of State Route 2022 in Upper Dublin Township, Montgomery County, as the “SPC5 George W. Charters, Jr., Memorial Highway.” A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

SB 780, PN 1448 (Vogel) – Establishes the Telemedicine Act, and provides for the definition of, and guidelines for, the remote delivery of health care services and medical information via telecommunication technology. Senator Vogel offered Amendment A6924 which adds several occupations under the definition of “health care provider” and provides for changes in telemedicine services and insurance coverage. The amendment passed by a unanimous vote.

SB 1092, PN 1577 (Mensch) – This bill amends Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) to create the offense of domestic violence in front of children. Senator Mensch offered Amendment A06931 which amends the language of the bill authorizing the Pennsylvania Sentencing Commission to develop a sentencing enhancement for assault or aggravated assault when committed against another family member and the offense was known to be witnessed by a child. The amendment passed by a unanimous vote.
