Senator Farnese offered amendment A03153 which adds “media professional” to the list of officers, employees or other persons identified. A “media professional;” is defined as an officer, agent or employee of a news media organization engaged in news gathering or the dissemination of information in a daily or weekly newspaper, magazine, periodical, book, digital publication or radio or television news. The amendment failed by a vote of 22-27 and the bill was approved by a vote of 49-0.
HB 510, PN 885 (Schemel) – This bill allows municipalities to enter intergovernmental cooperation agreements through resolutions and removes the requirement that such agreements must be entered via ordinance. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

Senator Corman offered amendment A03468 which makes technical changes to the bill. The amendment was agreed to by a voice vote and the bill was re-referred to the committee on Appropriations.
