HB 631, PN 668 (Marsico) – This bill amends Title 42 to require the court, upon sentencing a person for a Tier III sex offense under the Adam Walsh Act (relating to sexual offenses and tier system), to order the offender to serve a three-year period of probation consecutive to and in addition to any other lawful sentence imposed by the court. Senator Vulakovich offered amendment A05676, which is designed to make the registration process imposed on sexual offenders less erroneous (and addressing a recent PA Supreme Court decision). The amendment was agreed to via voice vote and the bill went over in its order as amended.
SB 796, PN 1008 (Gordner) – This bill amends Title 75 (Vehicles) to exempt all CDL licensees from the change of address fees if they have not actually moved from their home and the change of address is due to a governmental action beyond their control. A vote of 47-0 was recorded.
SB 955, PN 1450 (Vulakovich) – This bill amends the Public School Code of 1949 to create a firefighter training partnership program between community colleges and school districts, as well as vocational-technical schools. A vote of 47-0 was recorded.
