SB 705, PN 710 (Blake) – This bill amends Title 61 (Prisons and Parole) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, as it relates to county jail boards of inspectors, to give the district attorney in a county of the third, fourth or fifth class the option of being a member of that county’s board. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
HB 1164, PN 1605 (Murt) – This bill is known as the Higher Education Course Scheduling Preference for Veteran Students Act. Public institutions of higher education shall provide veteran students with preference in course scheduling according to guidelines developed by the Department of Education. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
SB 1180, PN 2012 (Vance) – An Act providing for prescription drug monitoring; creating the Prescription Drug Monitoring Board; establishing the Achieving Better Care by Monitoring All Prescriptions Program; and providing for unlawful acts and penalties. A vote of 47-2 was recorded.
SB 1225, PN 1695 (Brewster) – The bill designates the McKeesport-Duquesne Bridge off-ramp on S.R. 8086 leading to SR 148 in the City of McKeesport, Allegheny County as the “Officer Frank Miller, Jr. Memorial Ramp.” A vote of 49-0 was recorded.
