Micromobility Solutions & Safety

On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, Senate Democratic Policy Committee Chair Nick Miller along with Senator Tim Kearney will host a Policy Hearing to discuss Micromobility Solutions and Safety.
This hearing will examine steps the General Assembly could take toward meaningful, clarifying safety and age rules for privately owned e-scooters, and how such micromobility issues intersect with infrastructure and public policy. It will explore Abby’s Law (SB 1008 of 2025-26) which is a measure that remains pending before its committee. Perspectives will be heard from mobility and transportation advocates, law enforcement and community planning & revitalization experts. Materials and agenda are forthcoming.
This hearing will be held at the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission (LVPC) located at 615 Waterfront Drive, Allentown, PA 18102
