PHILADELPHIA, PA − July 17, 2026 – Senator Sharif Street (PA-3) applauds the recent awards in Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) that benefit organizations across Philadelphia. In the 3rd Senate District $4.5 million was allocated to projects that will enhance the services and facilities of the approved organizations.
“The funds provided through RACP allow for organizations to continue to bring quality programming and resources to the community,” said Senator Street. “With investments in the facilities it allows for growth not only in the organization but in the people that are able to learn, commune, and feel safe in. I’m proud to be able to advocate for the hardworking folks who dedicate themselves to being beacons of hope for those in need.”
The approved projects include:
Deliverance Community Development Corporation for the 3031 N. 21st Street Senior project will create much-needed affordable housing for seniors in the Allegheny West neighborhood of North Philadelphia – $2,500,000
Courtside Video Entertainment LLC for acquisition and rehabilitation of the building to create a light-duty manufacturing facility for Courtside Video Entertainment – $1,000,000
Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development to make improvements to the Nicetown Sports Court, which will restore connectivity to the communities’ commercial corridor and establish a safe environment destination – $500,000
Nix & Nix Funeral Homes, North, Inc. for modernizing key areas, upgrading essential infrastructure, and expanding community-oriented services, to provide a dignified and welcoming environment and overall comfort for grieving families – $250,000
Called To Serve CDC to address critical structural and exterior deterioration while enhancing safety and accessibility – $250,000
The Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) is a Commonwealth grant program administered by the Office of the Budget for the design, acquisition, and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects.
