HARRISBURG, PA – October 13, 2026 − Senator Nick Miller (D-Lehigh/Northampton) announced that two Lehigh County projects in the 14th Senatorial District will receive a combined $891,000 in grants through the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Community Conservation Partnerships Program.

The funding will support improvements to Boroline Park in Emmaus Borough and the development of the Jordan Creek Greenway in South Whitehall Township.

The awards include:

  • $391,000 to Emmaus Borough through the Federal Land and Water Conservation Fund for the rehabilitation of Boroline Park, including parking and baseball field improvements, a natural play area, new playground equipment, ADA accessibility, landscaping and other site improvements.
  • $500,000 to South Whitehall Township through the Keystone Community Program for the development of the Jordan Creek Greenway, including approximately one mile of trail from Lapp Road to N. Cedar Crest Boulevard, ADA accessibility, landscaping and other site improvements.

“Every community deserves parks and outdoor spaces that are safe, accessible and welcoming for everyone,” Senator Miller said. “These investments will give Lehigh County residents more opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, stay active and connect with their communities. I’m proud to support projects that strengthen our neighborhoods and improve quality of life for residents.”

The Community Conservation Partnerships Program Grants, managed by the DCNR Bureau of Recreation and Conservation (BRC), builds connections between Pennsylvanians and the outdoors by supporting recreational improvements, natural resource conservation, and community revitalization efforts.
