ROYERSFORD, PA – April 25, 2019 – On April 27, Sen. Katie Muth (D-Berks, Chester, Montgomery) will participate in a panel discussion on the impact of rape culture and sexual violence in our communities.

Sen. Muth believes that too many victims of sexual assault are silenced or shamed for sharing their stories.

This panel discussion will explore the ways communities can support survivors and come together to combat sexual violence.

Moderated by Sabrina Schoenborn of the HS Dems of PA, the “Blame the System, Not the Victim” panel will feature various guest speakers including:

  • State Senator Maria Collett;
  • Christa Hayburn, Founder of Empower HER Voice Movement;
  • LaQuisha Anthony, Founder of V.O.I.C.E. (Victory Over Inconceivable Cowardly Experiences Inc.); and
  • Erin Milbourne, Direct Services Supervisor at Victims Services Center of Montgomery County.
