HARRISBURG, PAJuly 17, 2025 – State Senator James Andrew Malone (D-36, Lancaster) today announced that KINBER, a Lancaster-based nonprofit focused on expanding digital access and opportunities, will receive 200 laptops through Pennsylvania’s Digital Connectivity Technology Program (DCTP). The funding was provided by the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority to improve education, workforce development, health, and employment outcomes through expanded access to technology.

“I’m glad to see funding go to a local organization that’s helping people in Lancaster access opportunities online,” said Senator Malone. “These laptops will help students learn, give adults more workforce opportunities, and help connect people to resources and services they need. Access to technology and the internet is vital for participating in the modern economy, and I’m proud to see a nonprofit that helps connect people in Lancaster receive this equipment.”

Pennsylvania’s Digital Connectivity Technology Program is a $20 million program established through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. It aims to increase access to technology devices where affordability has been identified as a barrier to broadband adoption and use.
