Fort Washington, Pa. − August 19, 2026 − Senator Maria Collett (D-12 Montgomery, Caucus Chair) has announced $1.4 million in Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF) dollars for two projects in her district.
“These transportation grants will help keep our neighborhoods safe and walkable while bringing new jobs to our region,” Sen. Collett said. “I was pleased to work alongside Representatives Guenst and Malagari to support these worthy projects, and I look forward to continuing our work to protect pedestrians, reduce traffic congestion and enhance public safety.”
$1.2M FOR LOWER MORELAND TOWNSHIP
Lower Moreland Township will receive $1.2 million for transportation improvements to support the development of the new Fetter’s Mill Fire Rescue Station.
“Funding for our first responders is a direct investment in the safety of local residents,” said Rep. Nancy Guenst (D-152 Montgomery). “This $1.2 million state grant for the new Fetter’s Mill Fire Rescue Station, that Senator Collett and I worked to secure, will help ensure our firefighters have the facilities and resources they need to protect our community for years to come.”
$224,000 FOR FRANCONIA TOWNSHIP
Franconia Township will receive $223,823 for pedestrian enhancements at Branchwood Park, Franconia Community Park and Lions Gate Community, as well as the upgrade of all school zone signs in the township.
“These funds will be used to help students, families and everyone who travels through our community get where they need to go more safely,” said Rep. Steve Malagari (D-53 Montgomery). “This is exactly the kind of practical investment that makes a difference in people’s day-to-day lives.”
