Harrisburg, PA – November 4, 2024 – Senator Anthony H. Williams is pleased to announce the awarding of $6 Million in Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grants for the 8th Senatorial District.
“We are investing in the future of Philadelphia by securing RACP grants that will drive projects across our city,” said Senator Williams. “These grants empower us to build a stronger, more inclusive community by enhancing critical infrastructure, supporting job creation, and providing safe, accessible spaces for all residents. Together, we are laying the groundwork for a thriving city that benefits every neighborhood.”
The following projects in the 8th District will receive grants:
- Sharon Hill Municipal Complex – $1,000,000
- Clark Park Vision and Design Framework – $500,000
- FloatLab III – $500,000
- Greater Philadelphia Health Action at 2230 Island Ave – $500,000
- Madinah Mosque – $1,000,000
- PHL Airport Terminals D-E Hold Room Improvements – $1,000,000
- Prep Charter High School Phase 4 Building Expansion II – $500,000
- Trail Access Improvements Southwest Philadelphia – $500,000
- Walnut Park Plaza Rehabilitation – $500,000
RACP is a Commonwealth grant program administered by the Office of the Budget for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects.
