ROYERSFORD, October 22, 2024 − State Sen. Katie Muth (D-Chester/Montgomery/Berks) announced that 29 projects across Senate District 44 were awarded over $8.4 million in state grants through the statewide Local Share Account (LSA) program and the Public School Facilities Improvement Grant program.
The projects, approved today at a meeting of the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA), were funded through the LSA-Statewide program which distributes gaming revenues to support public interest projects across Pennsylvania and the Public School Facility Improvement Grant Program, which provides grants to public school districts and area career and technical schools for eligible facility improvement projects.
“This investment of over $8 million in state grants will be incredibly impactful for residents and communities across SD44. The projects receiving funding today from these two programs will improve and upgrade school facilities; enhance our public safety efforts; improve wastewater treatment facilities; and better equip our first responders,” Muth said. “I appreciate the work of our local government officials who continue to advocate for their communities and applied for this important funding.”
