ROYERSFORD − February 24, 2025 − State Sen. Katie Muth (D-Chester/Montgomery/Berks) today announced that eight projects across Senate District 44 in Chester and Montgomery Counties received over $2.5 million in state grants through the Multimodal Transportation Fund program.
The projects were approved this morning at a meeting of the Commonwealth Financing Authority. The Multimodal Transportation Fund provides grants to encourage economic development and ensure that a safe and reliable system of transportation is available to the residents of the commonwealth.
“As population continues to grow across SD44, it is imperative that the Commonwealth continues to fund local projects that improve the condition of our transportation infrastructure to ensure that our roads and intersections are safe for drivers and pedestrians,” Muth said. “This $2.5 million investment across our region will make an impact in the quality and safety of our roads and ultimately our communities. Thank you to my colleagues in the House of Representatives across SD44 for their collaboration to ensure that tax dollars come back to our district and benefit our shared constituents.”
