SB 589, PN 714 (Kearney) – Amending the Home Rule Charter and Optional Plans Law within Title 53 (Municipalities Generally) to allow distressed municipalities within Act 47 to form government study commissions by resolution, to provide for the Act 47 coordinator to participate in the commission, to provide for commissions to consider a municipality’s Act 47 plan and financial needs in its report, and to allow home rule charters to contain taxpayer protection provisions. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

SB 1225, PN 1932 (Mensch) – Requires insurance coverage for all costs associated with annual supplemental breast screening for women at increased risk of breast cancer. A vote of 49-0 was recorded.

SB 1330, PN 1981 (K. Ward) – Requires insurance coverage for all costs associated with genetic counseling and testing for BRCA gene mutations for individuals at increased risk based on a clinical risk assessment tool and a personal or family history of breast or ovarian cancer.
