SB 45 PN 1627 (Dush): Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) relocating offenses relating to prostitution to Chapter 30 (relating to human trafficking) and increases penalties. Senator Dush offered Amendment A03395, which removes the definition “House of prostitution” throughout the bill and changes the term “Prostituted person” to “Prostituted person or person in prostitution.” These technical changes are at the request of Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency. The amendment was adopted 50-0 and the bill went over as amended.
SB 1235 PN 1513 (Baker): Amends Title 61 (Prisons and Parole) allowing an expired parole board member to continue to serve for 6 months beyond the end of their term and allowing the Governor to nominate a person to fill the position not later than 6 months. The bill was approved, 50-0.
SB 1259 PN 1626 (Cappelletti): Amends Title 61 (Prisons and Parole) to enhance confidentiality of documents used by the Parole Board and clarify what information may be disclosed.
SB 1281 PN 1589 (Rothman): Amends the PA Municipalities Planning Code to require the governing body of a municipality to issue a land use decision detailing pre-approved housing developments that may be constructed on specified types of lots and parcels. Senator Langerholc offered Amendment A03446, which is clarifying language. The amendment was adopted 50-0 and the bill went over as amended.
SB 1287 PN 1597 (Keefer): Amends the PA Municipalities Planning Code to provide that evidence of adequate water supply being provided prior to final subdivision or land-development approval. The bill was approved 50-0.
SR 321 PN1724 (Martin): A Resolution adopting a temporary rule of the Senate relating solely to amendments to the General Appropriation Bill and other appropriation bills for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, including any amendments offered to or for supplemental appropriations for prior fiscal years. The resolution was adopted 48-2.
