SB 972 PN 1113 (Kearney): This bill amends the Second Class Township Code to allow for municipal memorials honoring first responders. The bill was approved 47-0.

SB 993 PN 1212 (Keefer): This bill amends Title 8 (Borough Code), Title 11 (Third Class City Code), and Title 16 (Counties) to allow for municipal memorials honoring first responders. The bill was approved 47-0.

SB 1036 PN 1349 (Keefer): This bill recodifies the First Class Township Code into Part II of Title 73 (Townships), making substantive and technical changes. The bill was approved 47-0.

HB 1651 PN 2004 (Freeman): This bill provides for an expedited process to fill township supervisor vacancies when there are one or more vacancies on the vacancy board and specifies conflict of interest provisions for vacancy board chairs. The bill was approved 45-2.

HB 274 PN 2674 (Dawkins): This bill amends the Unemployment Compensation Law to clarify eligibility for Unemployment Compensation for individuals of domestic violence situations who voluntarily leave their employment; provides for new requirements for individuals seeking benefits who were denied benefits for disqualifying reasons and changes the trigger percentage for solvency; and provides a claimant cannot take actions to discourage his or her own hire. Senator Robinson offered Amendment A02245, which would make changes to the start date and years affected. The amendment was adopted 42-5. The bill was approved 42-5.

HB 467 PN 2673 (Deasy): This bill amends the Liquor Code to exempt licensees seeking off-premises catering permits for end-of-life memorial events and other changes. Senator Pittman offered Amendment A02241, which makes technical changes, the amendment was agreed to. The bill was approved 47-0.

HB 1615 PN 2676 (Kauffman): This bill amends Title 75 (Vehicles) by creating a new offense of “DUI Following Diversion,” extending record-keeping and expungement periods for ARD, revising grading and penalties to treat ARD completions as prior offenses, and updating related provisions on homicide by vehicle, sentencing, and treatment requirements. Senator Pittman offered Amendment A02239, which inserts that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Criminal Procedural Rules Committee shall promulgate rules as necessary to assist in the implementation of the addition of 75 Pa.C.S. § 3807(a.1). The amendment was agreed to. The bill was approved 47-0.

HB 1425 PN 2675 (McNeil): This bill amends the Tax Reform Code of 1971 to provide for an electronic nicotine delivery system directory and related enforcement, and it increases the minimum markup for cigarette retailers from 7 percent to 8.5 percent in 2026 and to 9.5 percent in 2027. The bill was approved 42-4.
