HB 1615 PN 2676 (Kauffman): This bill amends Title 75 (Vehicles) by creating a new offense of “DUI Following Diversion,” extending record-keeping and expungement periods for ARD, revising grading and penalties to treat ARD completions as prior offenses, and updating related provisions on homicide by vehicle, sentencing, and treatment requirements. Senator Pittman offered Amendment A02239, which inserts that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Criminal Procedural Rules Committee shall promulgate rules as necessary to assist in the implementation of the addition of 75 Pa.C.S. § 3807(a.1). The amendment was agreed to. The bill was approved 47-0.
HB 1425 PN 2675 (McNeil): This bill amends the Tax Reform Code of 1971 to provide for an electronic nicotine delivery system directory and related enforcement, and it increases the minimum markup for cigarette retailers from 7 percent to 8.5 percent in 2026 and to 9.5 percent in 2027.
