Senator Yaw offered Amendment A04096, which adds an entirely new article to the Real Estate Tax Sale Law that governs sales of unseated land. The amendment was adopted, 36-14 and the bill went over as amended.

HB 1862 PN 3685 (Neilson): Amends Titles 35 (Health and Safety), 42 (Judiciary) and 75 (Vehicles) to reform and streamline the application to and administration of the PennDOT ignition interlock program. Senator offered Amendment A04183, which authorizes privately owned parking lots to access PennDOT’s license plate records for the purpose of mailing vehicle owners an invoice for any unpaid parking charges. The amendment was adopted, 46-4 and the bill went over as amended.
HB 2426 PN 3281 (Bellmon): Amends the Board of Wardens for Port of Philadelphia Act to increase the maximum vessel draft for sixth-class pilots, from 27 to 29 feet, to allow for pilotage of larger vessels in the Delaware Bay and River. The bill was approved 50-0.
HB 2559 PN 3734 (Smith-Wade-El): Omnibus land conveyance legislation. Senator Pittman offered Amendment A04173, which corrects language for a restriction on how the Philadelphia Nursing Home property may be used by the Philadelphia Housing Authority. It also language to convey land, funds used for the Nanticoke Readiness Center goes to the General Fund. The amendment was approved, 49-1 and the bill went over as amended.
