HB 240, PN 192 (Benninghoff) – This bill amends Title 75 (Vehicles) to provide for hearing aid tests for school bus drivers.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

SB 468, PN 893 (Langerholc) – This bill amends Title 74 (Transportation) to allow for an interstate contract for drone research and deployment.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

SB 88, PN 915 (Farry) – This bill requires that any health insurance policies offered, issued, or renewed in Pennsylvania must provide annual mammograms at no cost for individuals aged 40 and older, and for those under 40 if recommended by a physician.  Senator Pennycuick offered amendment A01044, which is technical in nature.  The amendment was approved, and the bill went over in its order as amended.

SB 527, PN 500 (Farry) – This bill amends the Local Tax Enabling Act and repeals the Sterling Act of 1932. The bill places Philadelphia’s taxing authority in the Local Tax Enabling Act, places new limits on who and when wage earners are subject to the tax, and requires Philadelphia to “reimburse” resident school districts and municipalities under a regulatory framework created by DCED and PDE.  A vote of 29-21 was recorded.

SB 764, PN 820 (Dush, Brown) – This bill amends Title 53 to provide for the suspension of the implementation of a previously approved consolidation or merger of two municipalities and for the judicial review and court-ordered declaration of a subsequent referendum.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.
