HB 1286, PN 2849 (Young) – This bill amends the National Human Trafficking Resource Center Hotline Notification Act to provide for training requirements for public lodging establishments, third-party listing platforms and rental operators. On behalf of Senator Collett, Senator Costa offered amendment A02965, which was technical in nature. The amendment was approved by a vote of 47-0. The bill went over in its order as amended.
HB 993, PN 3004 (Inglis) – This bill amends Title 51 (Military Affairs) providing for a “veteran-owned business” logo. Senator Mastriano offered amendment A02986, which removes DCED involvement in the program and sets the effective date to September 1, 2027. The Senate agreed to the amendment via voice vote and the bill went over in its order as amended.
SB 998, PN 1216 (Brown, Collett) – This bill establishes the Nurse Education Capacity Expansion Grant Program Act to expand the capacity of accredited nursing education programs to increase the number of qualified nursing students. A vote of 43-4 was recorded.
