SR 94, PN 702 (Langerholc) – This resolution directs the Joint State Government Commission to establish a task force on the recruitment and retention of law enforcement.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

SB 226, PN 179 (Phillips-Hill) – This amends the Right-to-Know Law, subjecting the PA School Boards Association to its provisions.  A vote of 29-21 was recorded.

SB 227, PN 173 (Phillips-Hill) – Amends the Public School Code specifying that the PA School Boards Association shall be considered a state-affiliated entity under the Right-to-Know Law.  A vote of 29-21 was recorded.

SB 246, PN 752 (Coleman, Tartaglione) – Amends the Public School Code to require public and private schools to notify parents and educators when a student, parent, educator or other individual possesses a weapon on school grounds, school-sponsored activity, and transportation.  Senator Kim offered amendment A0710, which would add incidents involving serious bodily injury and damage to school property to the parental and school employee notification requirements.  The amendment was approved by a vote of 48-2 and the bill went over in its order as amended.

SB 310, PN 753 (Martin) – Amends the Public School Code requiring students to file a FAFSA with the U.S. Department of Education or submit an opt-out form to school before completing high school.  Senator Pittman offered amendment A0678, which removes the definition for “private school.”  The amendment was agreed to via voice vote and the bill went over in its order as amended.

SB 327, PN 297 (Gebhard) – Amends Title 53 (Municipalities) to allow for Fort Indiantown Gap police officers to have automatic certification as a municipal police officer with certain prerequisites.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

SB 367, PN 748 (Coleman, Miller) – Amends the Tax Reform Code to provide that the taxpayer ID number be provided to the Allentown Neighborhood Improvement Zone (NIZ) and that an independent auditor for the NIZ be provided with taxpayer returns and IDs.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.
