The state Senate and House Democratic Policy committees will hold a joint public hearing next Tuesday on college affordability.
The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26 at 9:30 a.m. in the House Democratic Caucus Room, 418 Main Capitol, Harrisburg.
The hearing will be jointly chaired by state Sen. Lisa Boscola (D-Northampton/Lehigh) and state Rep. Mike Sturla (D-Lancaster).
The hearing will discuss the Pennsylvania Promise Act introduced by Sen. Vincent Hughes (D-Phila.) and state Reps. Jim Roebuck and Jordan Harris (both D-Phila.).
Testifiers will include: Ken Mash, president, Association of Pennsylvania College and University Faculties; Mark Price, Labor Economist, Keystone Research Center; Nichole Duffy, Vice President of Government Relations, Association of Private Colleges and Universities; and Angel Hart Funk, a senior at California University of Pennsylvania.
