HARRISBURG – June 5, 2019 The state Senate and House Democratic Policy committees will hold a joint public hearing Monday on Gov. Tom Wolf’s “Restore PA” proposal, which would place a severance tax on gas drillers to provide $4.5 billion over the next four years for statewide economic development, infrastructure and technology enhancement projects.
The hearing is set for Monday, June 10 at 10 a.m. in the House Democratic Caucus Room (418 Main Capitol Building).
The hearing will be jointly chaired by state Sen. Lisa Boscola (D-Northampton/Lehigh) and state Rep. Mike Sturla (D-Lancaster). Expected testifiers include Secretary Dennis M. Davin, state Department of Community and Economic Development; and Sam Robinson, deputy chief of staff to Gov. Tom Wolf.
The hearing is open to the public and media coverage is welcome.
