SB 1334 PN 1811 (Culver): Amends the Medical Practice Act providing for the licensing qualifications and the scope of practice for medical imaging professionals, radiation therapists and radiologist assistants. Senator Brooks offered Amendment A04049, which would exempt from the licensure requirements under the bill any individual who is credentialed by Cardiovascular Credentialing International to assist with Cardiac Electrophysiology technology or Cardiovascular Invasive technology. The amendment was defeated 8-42. The bill was approved 45-5.
SB 1372 PN 1865 (Brooks): Amends the Human Services Code requiring an annual report on DHS’s inspection, investigation and enforcement activities relating to childcare providers; requires installation of carbon monoxide detectors in childcare facilities; and clarifies the timeline for testing of fire detectors. The bill was approved 50-0.
