SB 1206 PN 1554 (Pennycuick): Amends the Wholesale Prescription Drug Distributors License Act further defining “virtual manufacturer.” Senator Pennycuick offered Amendment A03772, which allows the department to issue a temporary license under the act if an applicant is awaiting approval from the USDA. The temporary license expires one year after its issuance unless renewed by the department. The amendment was adopted 49-0 and the bill went over as amended.

HB 1344 PN 3058 (Armanini): Amends Titles 18 (Crimes and Offenses) and 53 (Municipalities Generally) relating to K9 training for fentanyl detection. The bill was approved 49-0.

HB 1862 PN 3510 (Neilson): Amends Titles 35 (Health and Safety), 42 (Judiciary) and 75 (Vehicles) to reform and streamline the application to and administration of the PennDOT ignition interlock program. Senator J. Ward offered Amendment A03765, which removes language that a vendor that installs an ignition interlock device without following the proper procedures and fails to provide a refund would violate the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law. The amendment was adopted 49-0 and the bill went over as amended and re-referred to the Senate Appropriations Committee.

HB 2017 PN 2556 (Giral): Amends the Radiation Protection Act relating to nuclear development in PA. Senator Martin offered Amendment A03809, which replaces the language in the bill with clarifying language that establishes and provides for use of fees, makes change to fees and establishes additional fees, directs the deposit of the fees into Funds stablished under the Radiation Protection Act and specified PEMA planning programs, and requires review of the fees to occur every 3 years beginning 2030. The amendment was adopted 47-2 and was re-referred to the Senate Appropriations Committee.
