Natrona Heights, Pa. − January 15, 2026 − This morning, Senator Lindsey M. Williams joined the celebration of a significant expansion to the in-patient rehabilitation unit at AHN Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights.

This 12-bed, $6.2 million investment establishes the Allegheny Valley as a center of excellence for inpatient rehabilitation services.

“Bringing state-of-the-art medical and rehabilitation care to a neighborhood facility like Allegheny Valley Hospital emphasizes how important community is in the recovery process,” said Senator Williams. “Quality rehab means getting back to your life, and that’s easier to do if you can stay close to home, surrounded by your friends, family, and support system. I’m grateful that AHN has made this investment in the health and well-being of our neighbors here in the Allegheny Valley and shown that everyone can and should have easy, local access to world-class care.”

The completed rehabilitation unit includes 29 in-patient beds, which support recovery for patients with complex medical, neurological, and orthopedic needs. Expansion of the unit also includes 36 new employees, including skilled nurses, therapists, and essential support staff.
