Harrisburg, PA − November 12, 2025 − Senator Kane released the following statement on passage of the 2025–26 Pennsylvania Budget:
“After months of delay, I’m relieved that the 2025–26 Pennsylvania Budget has finally passed, and that it puts Pennsylvanians first.
This budget is a responsible, balanced plan that delivers real results for working families, students, and seniors across our Commonwealth. It invests in our schools, protects our most vulnerable neighbors, supports our workforce, and strengthens our economy, all without raising taxes.
With this budget, we’re fulfilling our court-ordered obligation to adequately and equitably fund public education, providing tax relief to nearly one million working Pennsylvanians, increasing support for childcare and direct care workers, and investing in food security, public safety, and job creation.
I’m glad this impasse is finally over so we can get back to doing what we were sent here to do: deliver for the people of Pennsylvania. I’m proud that we came together to pass a plan that truly helps those who need us most.”
