Lower Gwynedd, Pa. – December 14, 2022 — Today, Senator Maria Collett (D-12 Montgomery) announced $5,676,786 in Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) grants for public safety, victims’ services, reentry supports, and other key initiatives across Montgomery County.

“Everyone deserves to feel safe in their community – no matter where they live, what they look like, or how they worship,” said Senator Collett. “These much-needed funds will help our local municipalities and nonprofits prevent crime and violence before they happen and provide better supports to victims and reentering citizens. When our community members have access to the resources they need, we’re all safer for it.”

Grant Recipients Serving the 12th District Include:

NonProfit Security Grant Fund

  • $150,000 to North Penn Mosque for safety and security upgrades.

Federal American Rescue Plan Act Funds – Local Law Enforcement Support Grant Program

  • $205,447 to Hatboro Borough for body-worn and in-car cameras.
  • $134,350 to Lansdale Borough for the Mental Health Co-Responder program.

Federal American Rescue Plan Act Funds – Gun Violence Investigation & Prosecution Grant Program

  • $3,573,865 to the Montgomery County Commissioners to support the salary and benefits of a new prosecutor, two detectives, a litigation assistant, a crime/intelligence analyst and a BCI investigator. Funding will also be used to purchase a cell phone/social media analytical package, computers, forensic microscopes and ShotSpotter technology.

State Funds – Women’s Reentry Services Initiative

  • $99,916 to Family Services of Montgomery County for Seeking Safety for Women’s Reentry.
  • $100,000 to The Kintock Group, Inc. for the Women’s Reentry Services Initiative.

State Children’s Advocacy Center Funds

  • $47,000 to Child Advocacy Center of Montgomery County for NCA Accredited Services for Victims of Child Abuse.

Federal Victims of Crime Act, State Rights and Services Act, and State Victims of Juvenile Offenders Funds

  • $303,664 to Victim Services Center of Montgomery County, Inc. for Rights and Service Act.
  • $718,339 to Montgomery County Commissioners – DA for Rights and Services Act (RASA) / Victims of Juvenile Offenders (VOJO) 2023-24 – District Attorney’s Office.
  • $81,248 to Womens Center of Montgomery County for the Domestic Violence Legal Advocacy Project.
  • $262,957 to Montgomery County Commissioners – JPO for Victims of Juvenile Offenders (VOJO).
