HB 196, PN 168 (Diamond) – This bill proposes an amendment to the Constitution to create judicial districts across the Commonwealth for the election of justices to the Supreme Court, judges to the Superior Court, and judges to the Commonwealth Court. A vote of 26-24 was recorded.

SB 1216, PN 1784 (Langerholc) – The bill amends the Public School Code by providing temporary certification flexibility to elevate some of the challenges that occurred with teacher certifications due to COVID-19. Senator Schwank offered amendment A06716 which exempts individuals with a valid immigrant visa, work visa or work authorization from the citizenship requirement for teacher and teacher certification eligibility. The amendment failed by vote of 23-27. The bill was approved by a vote of 50-0.

HB 2463, PN 3713 (Grove) – This bill amends the Administrative Code to require state agencies to respond to Right-to-Know requests during a disaster declaration. Senator Muth offered amendment A06688 which amends the definition of agency and record to reflect definitions as outlined in the Right-to-know law. The amendment failed by a vote of 21-29. The bill was approved by a vote of 50-0.

SB 1166, PN 1835 (K. Ward) – A Joint Resolution proposing separate and distinct amendments to the Constitution of Pennsylvania providing for prohibition against denial or abridgment of equality of rights because of race and ethnicity and, providing for disaster emergency duration. Senate concurred in House amendments. A vote of 33-17 was recorded.

SB 14, PN 1834 (A. Williams) – Reforms the procedure and limits the imposition of probation. A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

SB 932, PN 1833 (Boscola) – An Act amending Title 35 (Health and Safety) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, providing for fireworks; in volunteer firefighters, further providing for definitions. Senator Muth offered amendment A06714 to prohibit individuals from setting off fireworks within 150 feet of train tracks or vehicles carrying combustible or flammable liquids. The amendment was agreed to by a voice vote. The bill was approved by a vote of 49-1.

SB 1235, PN 1853 (Street) – This bill authorizes the Department of General Services to lease a portion of land within the Delaware River bed to L-A Battery, QOZ, LLC. A vote of 46-4 was recorded.
