SB 453, PN 716 (J. Ward) – This bill amends the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act to exempt agricultural buildings (i.e. barns) used for social events from the requirements of the Uniform Construction Code. A vote of 27-20 was recorded.

SB 478, PN 690 (Vogel) – This bill amends the Tax Reform Code to create a beginning farmer tax credit to landowners who lease or sell their land, buildings and equipment to new farmers in Pennsylvania. A vote of 47-0 was recorded.

A vote of 32-15 was recorded.

SB 613, PN 679 (Mensch) – This legislation amends The Administrative Code to update the IRS Publication 1075 language, related to Tax Information Security Guidelines for Federal, State and Local Agencies, to require individuals with access to Federal tax information to submit a criminal background check. A vote of 47-0 was recorded.

SB 589, 677 (Regan) – This bill amends Chapter 32 (Military Educational Programs) of Title 51 (Military Affairs) by making amendments to Subchapter A (Education Assistance Program) and creates Subchapter A.1 (Military Family Education Program). Sen Regan offered amendment A01230 which makes technical changes. The amendment was agreed to by a voice vote and the bill was re-referred to the committee on Appropriations.
