SB 405 PN 1075 (Baker): Designates  Exit 30 from Interstate 84 onto State Route 402, in Pike County, as the Corporal Bryon K. Dickson, II, Exit. The Senate concurred in House Amendments, 49-0.

HB 73 PN 64 (Farry): Amends Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in sentencing, further providing for counseling of sexually violent predators. The bill was approved 49-0.

HB 221 PN 464 (Caltagirone): Amends Titles 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) and 53 (Municipalities Generally) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to provide that municipal police officers and Magisterial District Judges receive training regarding persons with mental illness, intellectual disabilities and autism and the availability of diversionary options for individuals with such illnesses. The bill was approved 49-0.

HB 229 PN 486 (Marsico): Amends Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in assault, further providing for the offense of harassment. The bill was approved 49-0.

SB 871 PN 1006 (Eichelberger): Amends The First Class Township Code, in corporate powers, further providing for the corporate power of first class townships vested in the board of township commissioners. The bill was approved 49-0.

SB 897 PN 1087 (Rafferty): Authorizes the Department of Transportation, with the approval of the Governor, to grant and convey to Center Square Commons, L.P., certain lands situate in the Township of Whitpain, Montgomery County. The bill was approved 49-0.

HB 1276 PN 1984 (Watson): Amends Chapter 63 (Child Protective Services Law) of Title 23 to clarify certain requirements pertaining to criminal history background certifications for employees and volunteers. Senator Corman, on behalf of Senator Browne offered Amendment A02930, which was technical in nature. The amendment was adopted and the bill went over as amended.

HB 1071 PN 1692 (Warner): Amends the Development Permit Extension Act, further providing for the definition of “approval” and for existing approval. Senator Eichelberger offered Amendment A02892, which removes the exception for any other authorization in statute, regulation or ordinance regarding development. The amendment was adopted and the bill went over as amended.
