SB 1161, PN 1538: This bill amends Title 61 (Penal and Correctional Institutions) with regard to inmate prelease plans and for parole power. Senator Piccola offered amendment A7431, which provides for the procedure of individuals convicted of murder to be released to group based home providers. The Senate agreed to the amendment and the bill went over in its order.
HB 1641, PN 2886: The legislation creates the Circulating Nurse Act which requires a registered nurse to be the circulating nurse in an operating room. A vote of 47-0 was recorded.
SR 287, PN 1824: The resolution memorializes to Congress to designate the Honor and Remember Flag as a national emblem of service and sacrifice by the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who have given their lives in the line of duty. The Senate adopted the resolution.
