HB 112, PN 3628 (Vereb) – Creates the offense of sexual assault by sports official, volunteer or employee of nonprofit association.  Senator Scarnati offered amendment A07290, which further provides for penalties under Section 2506, relating to drug delivery resulting in death.  The amendment was agreed to and the bill went over in its order as amended.

SB 1001, PN 2074 (Folmer) – This bill amends Title 57 (Notaries Public) to eliminate the requirement that applicants for Notary Public have their application endorsed by their state Senator, and to allow the Department of State to require applicants to submit criminal history information.  Senator Folmer offered amendment A07288, which was technical in nature.  The amendment was agreed to and the bill went over in its order as amended.

SB 1023, PN 2076 (McIlhinney) – This bill amends the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act to allow the state Uniform Construction Code Review and Advisory Council to re-review the 2012 codes adopted by the International Code Council (ICC) and to consider code modifications.  The legislation also increases the building permit fee by $1, adds one additional member to the Uniform Construction Code Review and Advisory Council and provides for reasonable expenses of the Council.  A vote of 47-1 was recorded.

HB 1460, PN 3631 (Gillen) – This legislation amends Title 51 (Military Affairs) to provide for educational leaves of absence and provides for a heroic service website.  Senator Dinniman offered amendment A07323, which was technical in nature.  The amendment was agreed to and the bill went over in its order as amended.

HB 1738, PN 2878 (O’Neill) – This legislation amends the Public School Code to establish the Basic Education Funding Commission.  A vote of 47-1 was recorded.
