SB 917, PN 1096 (Browne) – This bill amends Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) to facilitate the sharing of information among agencies that are involved with child welfare and delinquency cases or the identification of children at risk of abuse or neglect.  A vote of 50-0 was recorded.

HB 1332, PN 1814 (Godshall) – Bill amends the PSERS and SERS retirement codes to make several technical changes to the administration of the pension systems in order to comply with federal rules imposed under Section 401 of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC).  Failure to comply with IRC rules before January, 2016 would result in the loss of tax deferred status for PSERS and SERS, and member’s contributions and interest would become immediately taxable.  Senator Browne offered amendment A05225, which was technical in nature.  The amendment was agreed to and the bill went over in its order as amended.

SR 255, PN 1465 (Vulakovich) – The resolution directs the Joint State Government Commission to create a comprehensive listing of veterans’ benefits and programs.  The Senate adopted the resolution.

HB 1198, PN 2683 (Dunbar) – Amends the Tax Reform Code of 1971 to allow a corporate taxpayer to file an amended report notifying the Department of Revenue (DOR) of a correction to an original report and providing additional information for DOR to consider.  A vote of 44-6 was recorded.
