PHILADELPHIA, October 17, 2018 – Congressman Dwight Evans, Sen. Art Haywood (D- Montgomery/Philadelphia) and Rep. Isabella Fitzgerald (D-Philadelphia) will join Rebuilding Together Philadelphia along with Regional Housing Legal Services and other legal service organizations to announce home repair assistance and foreclosure prevention programs in Northwest Philadelphia. The event will launch the Middle Neighborhoods Assistance Program on Thursday, October 18 at 12:00 p.m. at the West Oak Lane Senior Center.
The announcement of home repair comes after the award of $400,000 from the PA Housing Finance Agency for safety renovations to stabilize middle income neighborhoods with high homeownership in Northwest Philadelphia. In addition, the PA IOLTA Board makes free legal services available to help people stay in their homes in these neighborhoods.
