Intergovernmental Operations 2013-2014

The Senate Intergovernmental Operations Committee met on Wednesday, October 08, 2014 to consider the following:

SR 430, PN 2259 (Greenleaf) – This resolution urges Congress and President Obama to publicly denounce the persecution of Christians and other religious minorities in Iraq and Syria by the Islamic State, also called ISIS or ISIL.  Senator Greenleaf offered an amendment to his resolution that was technical in nature.  The resolution was reported as amended (unanimous).


The Senate Intergovernmental Operations Committee met on Wednesday, June 04, 2014 to consider the following:

SB 1337, PN 1966 (Mensch) – This bill immediately removes the obligation of the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee to make certain reports to the General Assembly.  The bill was reported as committed on a vote of 8-3.

SR 284, PN 1714 (Greenleaf) – This resolution expresses support for the “democratic and European aspirations” of Ukraine and calls for supportive actions by the United States and European Union.  The bill was reported as committed on a vote of 9-2.


The Senate Intergovernmental Affairs Committee met on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 and took the following action:

SB 66, PN 37 (Gordner) – Amends the Act of June 27, 1996 (the Community Economic Development Enhancement Act) to codify the State Tax Equalization Board into the Act.  A technical amendment was adopted and the bill was reported as amended.
